We did it. Thank you!
Thank you for having faith in our vision for a better Pinole.
Family and friends,
I am so proud to say that we did it: Thanks to your support, contributions, and investment of time, we received the highest vote count in our race for Pinole City Council. I am deeply honored to have earned the opportunity to represent the residents of Pinole.
Our campaign was focused on building a more just, safe, and green Pinole, and I am proud of how we engaged the community in our vision.
As of today, we have received 6,619 votes, accounting for 54.68% of the vote — and it appears that more ballots have been cast in support of our campaign than in any election in Pinole’s recent history!
While the votes must be officially certified by election officials, I am confident that once all the votes are counted we will officially be declared the winner and top vote getter in this election.
As a new Pinole City Councilor, I look forward to working with the community and its stakeholders to fight for Pinole’s:
- Recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic
- Restoration of our local economy, infrastructure, and transportation as we combat the climate crisis
- Enhancement of our parks, open spaces, and public spaces
- Protection of homeowners, renters, and the unhoused
- Assurance of respect, dignity, compassion, and empathy for all Pinole residents, regardless of race, sex, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, ability, employment status, and/or criminal record
Now is the time to turn our vision into action. Our community deserves the very best.
Again, thank you for your faith in my vision for a better Pinole. I could not have done this without your stalwart support. Serving as your next city councilor is truly an honor, and I look forward to making you proud by carrying forward the progressive values we share in my leadership.
In service,
Councilor-elect Devin T. Murphy
